
The Kyoto Railway Museum (京都鉄道博物館) is a museum dedicated to the history of railways in Japan, located in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Japan. The museum opened in 2016 and is one of the largest railway museums in the country.
The museum exhibits a wide range of locomotives, passenger cars, and freight cars from the history of Japanese railways. Visitors can see and learn about trains from different eras, including steam locomotives from the late 19th century, electric and diesel locomotives from the 20th century, and modern bullet trains.
In addition to the exhibits, the museum also has a variety of interactive displays and experiences, including train simulators, hands-on exhibits, and a model train display. Visitors can also take a guided tour of the museum and learn about the history of railways in Japan and the technology that drives them.
The museum has a restaurant and gift shop, as well as a small play area for children.
