Kochi Castle (高知城) is a castle located in the city of Kochi in Kochi Prefecture, Japan. It was originally built in 1601 and has since become one of the most famous castles in Japan.
The castle’s main keep is a six-story wooden structure that features a distinctive black roof and white walls. Visitors can climb to the top of the keep and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding city and countryside.
Kochi Castle is also home to several historical exhibits that showcase the castle’s history and the life of its former residents. Visitors can explore the castle’s many rooms and learn about the weapons, armor, and other artifacts that were used by the castle’s inhabitants.
