Toyama Glass Art Museum

The Toyama Glass Art Museum (富山市ガラス美術館) is a museum located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The museum is dedicated to showcasing a wide range of glass artworks from Japan and around the world, including traditional Japanese glassware, contemporary glass art, and functional glass objects.

The museum houses an extensive collection of approximately 18,000 glass artworks, with around 2,000 pieces on display in the permanent exhibition. The collection features works by both established and emerging artists, offering visitors a comprehensive overview of the history and evolution of glass art. Notable works include those by renowned glass artists like Dale Chihuly, whose masterpieces are on permanent display.

The museum building itself is a work of art, designed by the acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.
