Buddhist Temples: Many temples in Japan are Buddhist temples. These temples are used as places for Buddhist practice and worship. Some famous Buddhist temples include Kiyomizu-dera and Kinkaku-ji in Kyoto, Todai-ji in Nara, and Kencho-ji in Kamakura.

Buddha Statues: Temples house numerous Buddha statues. These statues are not only objects of Buddhist devotion but also highly regarded as works of art. Famous Buddha statues include the Great Buddha in Kamakura and the statue of Prince Shotoku housed in the Golden Hall of Horyu-ji in Nara.

Gardens: Temples often have beautiful gardens. These gardens serve as places for Zen meditation and contemplation, offering visitors a sense of tranquility and serenity. Representative garden temples include Zenrin-ji and Ryoan-ji in Kyoto, and Senso-ji in Tokyo.

Ceremonies and Festivals: Temples hold regular ceremonies and festivals. These events are rituals and celebrations aimed at maintaining Buddhist faith and traditions. Representative events include Buddhist memorial services held during Obon and New Year, Setsubun bean-throwing ceremonies, and flower festivals.
