Chubu Region

Chubu Region (中部地方) is a region located in the center of Japan’s Honshu Island. The region is composed of nine prefectures: Aichi, Fukui, Gifu, Ishikawa, Nagano, Niigata, Shizuoka, Toyama, and Yamanashi.

The Chubu region is home to some of Japan’s most famous tourist destinations, including Mount Fuji, which is the highest mountain in Japan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other popular destinations in the region include the city of Nagoya, which is the fourth-largest city in Japan and known for its historic castle and museums, the historic town of Takayama, the snow monkey park in Nagano, and the coastal city of Shirahama.

The Chubu region is also known for its strong economy, with major industries including manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and tourism.
