Shinjuku Gyoen

Shinjuku Gyoen

Shinjuku Gyoen (新宿御苑) is a large park located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. It is a popular tourist attraction known for its beautiful gardens and cherry blossoms. The park was originally built as a private garden for the Naito family in the early 1900s, but was later turned into a public park in 1949 after World War II.

Shinjuku Gyoen is known for its three distinct gardens: the Japanese Traditional Garden, the French Formal Garden, and the English Landscape Garden. The Japanese Traditional Garden is designed to be a representation of the Edo period gardens, while the French Formal Garden is designed to be a representation of a formal European garden. The English Landscape Garden is designed to be a representation of an English garden.

In addition to the gardens, Shinjuku Gyoen also has a large greenhouse, where visitors can see a variety of exotic plants and flowers from around the world. The park is also a popular spot for picnics and relaxation and is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
