Ryogoku

Ryogoku (両国) is a neighborhood located in the Sumida ward of Tokyo, Japan. It is known as the center of Japan’s sumo wrestling culture and is home to the Ryogoku Kokugikan, the country’s premier sumo wrestling arena.

In addition to sumo wrestling, Ryogoku is also famous for its Edo-Tokyo Museum, which showcases the history and culture of Tokyo from the Edo period (1603-1868) to the present day. The museum has numerous exhibits on display, including scale models of Edo-era buildings and streets, and displays on the history of transportation, fashion, and daily life in Tokyo.

Ryogoku is also home to many other cultural attractions, including Yokoamicho Park, which features a Japanese-style garden, and the Kyu-Yasuda Teien, a historic garden that was once the residence of a wealthy merchant family.

In addition to its cultural attractions, Ryogoku has a vibrant food and nightlife scene, with many restaurants and bars serving traditional Japanese cuisine and drinks.
